Jennifer Lopez reportedly sought out her ex-boyfriend for advice before announcing her split from husband, Marc Anthony. Evidently, her mother, Guadalupe, sent a "secret email" to Affleck and his response helped JLo make her decision.
"Guadalupe reached out to Ben over email. She wanted advice for Jennifer. She always liked and trusted him. [Ben] replied back on email, wished her well and offered what he could," revealed a source.
This story does seem a little weird, doesn't it? Why would Jennifer Lopez's mom send an email to Ben Affleck? That relationship was years ago! Ben is now happily married (to Jennifer Garner) and had two daughters. Did he really need to be bothered with JLo's marital problems? Probably not.
Of course every media outlet is trying to have a bigger story to trump the next when it comes to JLo and Marc Anthony's split. Bringing Ben Affleck to the table is certainly a way to sell magazines! Do you think this story is legit?
