WOW ... DID YOU HEAR THAT JET ?

Just minutes ago the LOUDEST AND FASTEST jet (or rocket) I have ever experienced just flew over my place south to north and on into Canada from here in NW Montana ... amazing because it was evidently very low ... I never saw it but could hear it for some time rumbling off into the distant north ...

We are on no commercial flight paths here and seldom even experience a military one other than seldom a very high and relatively slow cross over ... nothing like this !

Just curious if anyone else recently experienced anything similar ?

Not recently, but have had military aircraft fly over me low and fast a few times; most when out in the desert far from any homes etc. It is pretty crazy... one time I remember wanting to find a hole to jump into, LOL.

When I lived in the PNW (Portland area) we would get such things all of the time, but seldom with after-burners on except at PDX itself where the National Guard Jet Fighters were stationed and then only on take-off.

In that general area, only about 60 miles away as the crows (and a few jets) would fly, where I used to hunt in the fall, in the middle of no-where (all things considered there) we would occasionally get the Whidbey Island Navy EA-6B Prowlers flyovers at Tree-Top level ... that was always very loud and exciting ... this fly-by today sounded way more powerful and fast though.
