Summer is slipping by way to fast. Our 'training sessions' in the sun and sand are over. It's already the weekend for one of the major activities, which means 14-16 hour days at the beach. And I can't think of a better place to be, with the weather granting us beautiful sunshine and temperatures in the low 90's. You couldn't pay for more ideal conditions. It brings out the biggest smiles on beach people. The crowds dictate arriving early just to get a good parking spot. With lakefront fireworks on Sunday night, it's necessary to actually stake off your territory on the beach early in the morning. The coolers are heavier with extra ice and beer. Bags of junk food, and maybe even a small grill to cook some wienies. This beach stuff is exhausting, but wouldn't miss it for the world. Come on down and work on your tan.
If you survive this one, then you're ready to do it again in August for the rumble and thunder of Superboat weekend.
Have a good one, and thanks for stopping by today.
