The winner of the June Challenge is Joann B. and her wonderful story Poetry Remembered. And please, if you haven't already, check out the other wonderful entries for June: Strange Days - Genre Creatives Non-Challenge entry by Sheila Deeth, The Ceremony - GCC June Challenge by jeanne clarke, You Are Invited To A County Wedding ~ Genre Creatives ~ GCC by Connie C. and Never too late for love (Genre Creatives Challenge June 2011) by Angela A.
Now on to the July Challenge.
Joann's Prompt for July is an interesting scenario:
On a solitary walk - in mountains, forest or seashore - you come upon a flat boulder with a hollow in the center. In the hollow are two shining white bones and a polished amethyst pebble. Somehow you know that . . .
Your job is to fill in the rest of the story.
Remember, stories should be up to 1500 words maximum per chapter, and 1-3 chapters total. Poems are up to 35 lines long. Put GCC in the title and tag if you wish to be a judge (and hey, it's not hard) or NGCC if you decline the prestigious judging honour.
Also, Joann has declined judging duties so I'll be standing as judge again this month.

I try to keep the community aware of the prompts but sometimes I fail.
