Horsey Water Fun - a photo essay

My neighbor's water pipe broke and flooded part of my arena. While Warren fixed his pipe, I let my horses out to see what would happen when they found the water. My mustang, Luke, went out first to explore, then I let my Tennessee Walker, Viking, enjoy the water.

Nice and cool on the feet! Please don't fix it too soon, Warren!

Ooooh! Very fun!

Make a guy kind of frisky! (Yes, Warren has an old school bus in his yard, aarrggh!)

Viking shows the youngun' how to really have fun...

And cool more than the feet!

A good roll after a soak is in order....

Hey wait, Luke - I wasn't finished with the water, it's still MY turn!

... I said, GET OUT!

Luke doesn't always listen to those warnings!

Now, GIT!

All right, kid, you wear me out.... I'll share.

I was just told it was 118 yesterday here... I knew it was predicted 116, but not sure what happened, just that it didn't cool down last night much. The rain prediction for that tropical storm that hit Mexico has moved out a day now to tomorrow. Hope it happens.

They do have a lot of requirements to be met before they allow adoption, including fencing type and shelter specifications.

I've had horses for a lot of my life and the times that they play are absolutely so worth watching. I'm just glad you got it on film.

Hahaha!!!! Those are GREAT pics!!! Viking is beautiful!!!! Luke is pretty cute too!! I love the pictures! Those are some great shots!

One day when Flash was at the trainers, we finished giving him a bath and went to put some stuff away. When we came back, he had pawed at the mud puddle underneath him and his bathed legs were mud up to his body!! That one pic reminded me of that.. LOL
