Well, it is wonderful to know that there still are some honest people in this world, but that was so terribly rude and disgusting........I cannot believe how downright nasty, disgusting, and arrogant people are today........money IS, indeed, the root of all evil.

Yes, it is refreshing, but, to get a slap in the face like that and this totally evil remark is disheartening.

This was such a terriable way to treat another human being who was trying to help him,but I'm glad the cab driver did this because I have a feeling that sinful guy was trying to frame the honest one. I think he got the money by robbing or stealing it and left a certain amount in the cab for the police to find.Therefore implicating it wasn't just him involved.

What a jerk that guy was.

One of my first jobs when I was 18 was at a cab company. I was the personnel department, claims department (for accidents) and lost and found. The cab drivers had to turn in things to me and wait 30 days to see if someone would claim the stuff. Of course, some stuff that people left, we just threw away - like underwear. :) And we always had about 50 umbrellas.

I'll have to ask my husband if he's ever found underwear! LOL

It amazes me how some people can still have such little respect and thankfulness when the honest person is becoming harder and harder to find in today's world. It makes me sick that I am raising my children tobe honest and to do the right things in life and to know that there are sick and inconsiderate selfish idiots like the person in this story. He or she should have been humbled and thankful and god bless your husband's co worker for being one of the few still honorable people in todays twisted society.

When both my husband and I worked at the theater we saw many people coming in and asking for their wallets or pocketbooks and no one was finding them. Not that none were found because they were. If they were found by my husband or I they went straight to the cash office where I would open it get a name or if there was a cell their ICE information and call right away. Most times they would come back and it would be waiting there for them. Other times it was someone from a different state so we would have to hold onto in the managers office. One time some lost 80.00 and our managers boyfriend had found 70.00 and spent it. Of course where he found it is where the person said they lost it. The manager told that person no one found it. Hey when cleaning the theaters out you always find a 1.00 here or some change there but nothing usually big. I don't know one person who ever got their stuff back that didn't thank us. One time someone called saying they lost their wallet. I took the call, got the information, one of the workers turned on the lights, and another found it. There really wasnt' much in it but when the person came they handed us a 100.00 bill and said split this because it would have been really hard to get all of his information again. So sad that someone couldn't be thankful for their stuff being returned. I know when I left my pocketbook behind I was not only thankful to get it back but also that everything was still intact. Once at my husband's families get together I left my purse in his mother's jeep, and when we got home the money was gone. It had been our rent money. Luckily my mother in law loaned us money for the rent and we paid her back as soon as we could.

Anyways your husband's friend did the right thing and he will be more then paid back in the future for his honesty

I'm sure he will. Honest people are hard to come by, but, they are still out there.
