Josh Cribbs is one of the most versatile players in the NFL as he is one of the top kick return players in the league and a valuable receiver on the offensive side of the ball.
Cribbs was critical of the Cleveland Browns management and despite a drop-off in numbers last year, he is still widely considered a valuable asset to the team.
Contract talks last season turned ugly as Cribbs went public with what he considered a poor offer, but eventually the two sides reached an agreement. The team has little talent around him and it seems he has had enough with the team's front office and the city itself.
Cleveland would be smart to move the receiver before his contract expires and at least get a draft pick or two, instead of receiving nothing if he bolts after his contract expires. The Browns have a new coach and are trying to rebuild the franchise, but it seems they will be doing so without their best overall offensive weapon.
When a new agreement is reached between the players and owners, it will be interesting to see how Cribbs fits in with the new coaches. If trouble appears, look for a move quickly in order for the team to move forward without off-field distractions.
