One of the main story lines on Rookie Blue in the first season was the love triangle that developed involving Andy, Ben, and Luke. Just because she was with Luke at the end of the season and has moved in with him in the premiere doesn't mean the triangle isn't ongoing.
Andy and Luke or Andy and Sam?
Missy Peregrym talked to TVLine about what's coming up in the second season, including cases and her character Andy's love life. Andy is going to have to deal with having Luke's ex-girlfriend, Detective Rosati (Camille Sullivan), around the station, and that's not going to be easy and "causes a lot of stress." It's especially difficult because "she's the authoritative figure, so it's a fine line for [Andy] to walk - how much [she's] going to take from her because of [her] job and how much [she's] going to let go because she's driving [her] crazy." What will this mean for her relationship with Luke? Could Andy turn to Sam if it becomes too stressful for her?
Andy and Sam did hook up in the first season of Rookie Blue during the blackout, but once the power came on, she left. Peregrym also pointed out that "last year, Andy and Sam would have lost their jobs. There's a consequence for dating a training officer. Because we can partner with each other this year, we're available to date. It adds more to it." So will the season end with Andy with a different guy than she was with at the beginning of the season? However, Peregrym did point to Luke's dependability and the fact that "he's the safe choice" as a reason Andy's with him, while Sam is more of the wild card. Could that fact keep her with Luke throughout the season even with any problems that may arise with his ex around?
