Hawaii Five-0 already has one Lost alum in its cast - Daniel Dae Kim, who played Jin Kwon, plays Chin Ho Kelly - and now there's going to be another actor from the popular ABC drama in more than one episode next season.
H50 casts recurring role
According to TVLine, the CBS drama, now entering its second season, has cast Terry O'Quinn, who played John Locke on Lost, "in a pivotal recurring role." His character is "a Navy Seal Lt. Commander who trained Alex O'Loughlin's McGarrett in Coronado, and served with his father in Vietnam." The character is "strong, stubborn and a man you want in your corner when things go south." To make things even better, he will help advance the big mystery still left from season 1 by providing answers about McGarrett's parents' murders.
This is a great move for Hawaii Five-0, not just because it brings Terry O'Quinn and Daniel Dae Kim back on a show together - and remember, Lost was filmed in Hawaii - but also because it will give answers about questions fans have had since the beginning of the show. However, it seems like those answers may be revealed slowly since this is a recurring role. O'Quinn is a good choice for the role. It's not hard to imagine him as a Navy Seal Lt. Commander since he has played military men a few times before.
What do you think of Terry O'Quinn joining the cast of Hawaii Five-0 for season 2 as a recurring character?
