June 19 - another one of the best days of my life

I have 3 most important days in my life.  First was when I married my husband. But the 2nd one was on June 19, 2001 when my oldest daughter was born.  She was such a huge answer to prayer! I was so scared about it all - afraid of pregnancy & delivery, of course! ha! Afraid of the responsibility, too. But, I never wanted anything more in my life than to have a beautiful little girl of my own.

She has always been a challenge of sorts - started off with the fact that she just seemed to refuse to be born!! Labor was induced and after 18 hours of getting nowhere, she was delivered via C-section.

She was 9 lb at birth

Her name was chosen for it's meaning. We are Christians, and the name "Bethany" means "worshiper of God."   And, at 9 years old she started leading worship, occasionally, for the 4-5 year old class at church. She's growing into her name, I guess!

Now, she's into double digits - I have a 10 year old! Wow. Hard to believe. She was the sweetest baby in the world. And now here she is.

It was, indeed, one of the greatest moments of my life. And I am so thankful that God gifted me with this angel to love and cherish.
