Tonight, Justin Bieber is at the MuchMusic Video Awards, where his girlfriend Selena Gomez is the co-host. To the shock of almost nobody, he won (well, tied) the first award of the evening, International Video of the Year by a Canadian. Drake won, too.
Anyway, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were actually awkward with each other on stage. They didn't seem to know what to do with each other, so Biebs stuck his hand out and said, "Nice to meet you." He went on to ask her out on a date sometime. Near the end of his time on stage, they had a brief one-arm half-hug.
Fans were disappointed that the two didn't kiss, but Justin Bieber will likely be on the stage again since he is nominated for another MMVA tonight. In fact, there are plenty of performances left and hopefully, the "Baby" singer will hit the stage with a surprise performance. Even the MuchMusic Video Awards guest artists want to see him perform. Could that be a hint he will? Fans can only hope.
