A Duggar grandson was born on a soon-to-be aired special episode of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting.
Jim Bob and Michelle's eldest son Josh Duggar, 23, and his wife Anna Duggar, 22, welcomed their first son on Wednesday at 5:55 p.m. They are already the proud parents of 20-month-old Mackynzie.
"I'm excited, and I'm really looking forward to holding our son in my arms," said the expecting mother.
Although the Duggar family raised their children to be independent, they are also tradition--maybe a little too traditional. The young couple chose a name starting with the letter "M" like his older sister, following the Duggar family tradition of names beginning with the same letter.
Anna also chose to give birth at home in Tontitown, Ark., in a birthing pool with the help of mother-in-law Michelle Duggar and her daughter Jill. The soon-to-be mother of two should be commended for passing up a professional doctor to give birth on her own at home.
"[Anna] is probably going to move from [the birthing pool] to take a shower, and then when it's time for the baby to be born, she will be moving to her room," explained Michelle in the clip.
One can watch the teaser clip of the special 19 Kids: First Grandson on People.com. The show will air on TLC this Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.
