I had an OB appointment on Monday so after getting done with it we stopped by Save-A-Lot for our monthly shopping trip there. They had quite a few things on sale 10/$10. The most impressive thing on sale for me was they had ground turkey, 1lb packages 10/$10. Now I love to use ground turkey but it is normally more expensive than ground beef so you had better believe I stocked up on it! I am hoping that I can use some it to make sweet italian sausage as well. I love making lasagna but the cost of sweet italian style pork is too expensive these days and my pocket book cannot handle it. I also got 10 more lbs of flour, 5 of self rising and 5 of all purpose. With all of the problems going on out in Oklahoma with the wheat crops I am wondering how flour and grain products will be effected? Right now I would rather be safe than sorry. I also stocked up on baking soda, baking powder, brown sugar, powdered sugar, corn starch and some canned goods. I got quite a bit of pantry items. Save-A-Lot is quite a bit cheaper than the rest of the stores on many things. I do still shop the other stores and use my coupons but for my pantry shopping I normally use Save-A-Lot. We also stopped by Walmart and got their 25lb bag of sugar and a case of diapers for Lil Man. We are working on the potty training but its not quite there yet.
You folks gotten any good deals lately?
