"Breakout Day" ~ Update on Magi

Day 12:  Late this morning I received word that Mag would be released from NEMC today.  With a song in my heart, I rode into the city and packed up the boy.  On the ride home, he was so excited to be "out and about" despite the horrendous madcap traffic on Route 3.  It was Friday afternoon and all the city folk were heading to Cape Cod.

Pleasant night....Magi finally had an uninterrupted 6 hours of sleep last night. This morning he was up at 5 penning a poem. My cousin Terry and his partner Gino stopped by and we went to local eatery for some breakfast and then came home again. It was a nice short outing.
Raining today so for the most part we will just rest our bodies and our minds.

That is grand news. Scary to think I may have lost the chance to meet the man. Onward and upward. Who was it that said, "What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger!", besides me, that is.

Anyone who has gone through a near death experience certainly does appreciate the new life they have been given.
I'm glad that it is raining...we are vegging at home....gathering, reading, etc. The visiting nurse came at 11 and stayed for two hours. She thought things were going well.

Mag is doing well, thank goodness. Although he didn't eat much in the hospital, he is getting his appetite back. Really, Diva, we are "doing good".

For the most part, that's what we have been doing....resting, reading, gathering and eating. So far, Mag is a good patient....he's listening to me. Lol

So relieved....yes. For a while there I didn't think he was going to make it. When they put him in the ambulance at the first hospital to transport him to NEMC, I thought I might never see him alive again. It was so scary.

Girl, now let the poor guy rest before you start pulling him in ten different directions! He looks good and I hope that he continues to recuperate and soon be in the best of health! Good news like this is always welcome. Now the real recovery begins and maybe Bob can sit back and unwind those frazzled nerves. Seeing a loved one in a hospital is sometimes more difficult on the loved one that it is on the patient. I will be keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
