Yes, that's right, on Thursday, author Helen Fielding confirmed that there is not only a third book on the way, but also a third movie and a musical coming. What an exciting time for fans of the series!
On the silver screen actress RenÃ©e Zellweger brought the quirky British singleton and diary keeper to life along with co-stars Hugh Grant and Colin Firth. The trio starred in 2001's Bridget Jones Diary and in 2004's Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
Fielding said, "I've been working on it. You know, the challenge is to make it really good, because I've waited a long time before doing anything else with Bridget . . . I want it to be quite honest and mean something and be really good and funny."
The forthcoming third Bridget Jones book is certainly going to make readers and moviegoers thrilled. Then, add a musical to the mix, and it's sure to be a perfect trifecta for fans. British singer Lily Allen is teaming up with Fielding for the stage version of the smash hit.
