The sky is a light shade of blue, it appears almost white as the breeze gently helps the wind-chimes to play a tune that arouses feelings deep into my soul. The sun is ending its daily journey to the West as it slowly hides behind the trees. |
Scent of roses can be smelled from a good distance away as the breeze moves it ever stronger to my seat on the front porch swing. The shades of light reds, crimson, and pinks accent the rock wall that was built in the mid-1900's. The beauty is evident as my mind swirls to pull in all the beauty that surrounds my very existence. The rock was taken from the land that it now supports.
The beauty of home rose gardens is that the colors are so vibrant and the scent is always evident as one just walks by them.

It seems as if even the birds are admiring the beauty that Heavenly Father has blessed me with!
The river can be heard moving with the constant swishing sound as it flows downstream, hitting the rocks with a constant brush against the sand on shore.
The sun sparkles as it hits the water on its daily journey across the land.

The birds can be heard all around me as they sing their beautiful songs and feed their babies. Yes, the robin eggs has hatched and mama robin is quite protective of her young.
Beauty is all around me as I sit and absorb it all in. It is like Heavenly Father is blessing me today with proof that he is in control. He no doubt is preparing me for the next trial. However, just for this evening I am left to enjoy life with all the sounds, scents and views of that are so evident, all around me. |

My Roses are really doing great this year and they scent seems to be more robust than ever before. The breeze was gently moving so that may have had something to do with the scent today but overall this year, they have just out done themselves.
Do you raise roses?
All of the above photos were taken by me with my Canon PowerShot SX130 IS
I am glad you enjoyed the words and the photos. I wish I could write poetry but I was not blessed with that talent.
Thanks so much. I took all the photos used in this photo essay from in sight in my home. Most were taken from my front porch. I am blessed to live in a beautiful area of the world.
I think it is pretty here. The photos do not even do it justice. I wish you could come visit. You would love it here. And. .. we could stay up all night and talk. LOL
I looked at the map today to see just how close you were to Columbia SC.
I hope you are taking lots of photos of the dance recital
We have that in common. I love rocks and I love to explore the caves in our area.
I remember when my husband and I was dating. We went on a hike to a cave that was in walking distance from my home. We stayed in the cave until a thunder storm passed. It was sorta interesting to see the safety of the cave from the storm.
I would like to go back there when I get stronger and get some shots to share on gather. It is said that the Native Americans used it and I do know we find lots of arrow heads in that area. It is on private land owned by my family and you have to walk through the woods to get there.
How is your pain level? Getting better I hope.
I feel better this evening than I have in a year. They will try to re-program my implant the 16th. I can tell that it is working today though and it is NICE.
I have no idea what tomorrow will bring but then none of us do. Do we?
