Another one of the Glee cast is going to be releasing a solo album this year, joining fellow actors Mark Salling and Matthew Morrison in that regard. This time, the person in question is a female, and she has had a big year on the show.
Santana goes solo
According to Entertainment Weekly, Naya Rivera, who plays Santana, will be releasing a solo album after their concert tour finishes. She had quite a season on the Fox hit, including working on coming to terms with her sexuality, quitting cheerleading to stay with New Directions, and the possibility of a romance with Brittany (Heather Morris). Rivera did quite a bit of singing this season, including at Sectionals on "Valerie" and in a duet with Amber Riley, "River Deep—Mountain High."
Glee has become very popular, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Naya Rivera's album do well because of that connection. Because she has stood out this season with her storylines, that could also help her album do well. She does have a good voice, though it may not be the strongest in the cast. Is there another cast member you'd rather see release an album before Rivera?
Will you be picking up Glee's Naya Rivera's solo album when it hits stores?
