Justin Timberlake and Ashley Olsen are Not a Couple

A rumor that Justin Timberlake and Ashley Olsen were dating swept the Internet today. Several media outlets ran with the story, but it was all for nothing. They are not dating.

The story began with (of course) Us Weekly Magazine. This particular tabloid is notorious for quoting anonymous sources that are more often than not, wrong. This time, Us Weekly's source claimed, "They are hooking up." Another conveniently anonymous source stated, "They're really trying to keep it on the down-low." Mmm-hmm, sure.

Even though a rep for Justin flat-out told Us Weekly that the story was untrue, they ran with it anyway. Justin's rep told the tabloid, "They are friends. They are not romantically involved." The rep also spoke with rumor busting website GossipCop.com and said, "They've been friends for a long time."

Which source is more likely to be telling the truth? Here's a hint, it's probably not Us Weekly. Justin Timberlake is a hot commodity, but he doesn't seem like the type to hide relationships from the media. Who do you believe? Share your thoughts below!
