Today on the NASCAR schedule 2011 edition is the Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina. For NASCAR fans wondering who won the Coca-Cola 600, the live blog feed below will provide the latest Coca-Cola 600 race results and winner for the Sprint Cup Series event.

The Coca-Cola 600 odds for 2011 currently favor #99 driver Carl Edwards and #18 Kyle Busch at 5 to 1 to win today. Jimmie Johnson, last year's Sprint Cup champion, is at 7 to 1 odds, with Matt Kenseth at 11 to 1. Of note, Edwards won at the same track last weekend for the annual NASCAR All-Star race. This is considered one of the most challenging race tracks for the drivers and the outcome is highly unpredictable. Last year saw Kyle's brother, Kurt Busch, win the race. Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon have each won the race at least three times during their all-star careers.

Back to the 500 reak quick....Rookie or not....his spotter should of talked him through the last lap....now no one heard any radio traffic between the two...maybe he tried....it happened to one other car....the siver and green car...don't remember the number...his spotter told him numerous times...inside, inside!....didn't listen, and the exact same thing happened...CARASSSSH!!!

That's one mistake he won't repeat.....That would of been BIG!!!...When was the last time a rookie won.....?

good question nikki, I'll have to find that...I know that Juan Pablo Montoya and Helio Castroneves were both rookies when they won the race in 2000 and 2001.

I've watched the video and most of them did great. It's also possible for rookies to win in a race too so it's no big deal. Some racers have problems with exhuast, overheating, brake booster that must be fixed first. I guess the difference is the alignment of the race car combined with racer's skills.
