Henry The Squirrel is a peeping rodent! =(

I got up to go to that bathroom, take my shower,ect. I here this chirp/chitty/chirp. I thought, what the hell is that? So I look out my bathroom window, and there is Henry! He is sitting on a branch with his nose jammed up to my bathroom window! I opened the window and told him he would get fed in due time! I feed him 2 times aday! I am thinking, what a little pig. I get into the shower and it dawns on me, I don't have a tree next to my bathroom window! =( I jump out of the shower, put on some clothes and go out side. The neighbors Oak tree had dropped a huge branch down on me. He lives in Texas and only comes around 2 weeks a year. I have been telling him to cut them branchs on the tree. Now Henry is upset and so am I! He did get to be fed three times today though. So maybe he is not real upset. I buy him cheerios for early and nuts for evening. He's my buddy =)

Did the branch damage your roof?

I don't know yet if this one did, but the last one made my roof leak. I was told I couldn't do a darn thing about it. I say that is BS! He will trim those old branches this year or I shall slowly hack it down myself. LOL! When hubby talked to him about it he said it had been there sence he was a kid. I understand how he must have fone memorys of it. But it is killing my house. Then last year he told a few of the neighbor boys they could build a tree house init. First off it is not a safe tree! Second off they are right out side my windows! =p He only visits his house 2 weeks a year I live here every year! =D

We have a pet squirrel his name is stubby. We feed ours nuts and peanut butter.

LOL.. we have a little chipmink running around our back yard. He likes to fill his jaws daily with bird seed LOL.

Thats the way Henry is too in the winter time! He stuffs his face with walnuts, then trys to carry off two in each paw. He ends up dropping them and keeps trying to pick them up and do it again! Its like for petes sake! you know they will be here when you get back! =p In the spring/summer I give him peanuts, sometimes he has to get into it with other Squirrels cuz they want some too. =) I have watched him bury them and another squirrel going right behind him and unburying them and eatting. Boy that makes him mad! =D

Not my tree, I feel bad for Henry cuz it is his tree. =) I just wish the neighbor would takecare of it when they come to visit.

I do love him, he has been my little buddy for awhile. He had a lady, I called her Henry-ettah. I am not sure if she is still around or not, I haven't seen her =( Henry is getting older but he is still young. I figure they are just like ferretts and one of mine lived to be 12 years old. As long as he don't get hit on the street, I guess I will be buying peanuts/ walnuts for awhile. =)

Animal medicine says that if you have a squirrel that comes into your life, they can be reminders that in our quest for our goals, we should always make time to socialize and play. Work and play go hand-in-hand, or the work will create problems and become more difficult and less fruitful. They are trying to teach us balance within the circle of gathering and giving out.
