On May 24, NKOTBSB released their new album. On May 25, they launched a new tour. On any-month 1993, they all became too old to be cool.
New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys haven't been relevant for about 15 years. They had their glory days—when any prepubescent girl on the map could have been theirs (within the structure of the local laws—of course). But come on—a new album? Now? Get a clue, boys.
All right, it's not that they won't sell albums—'cause, they will. They may even go platinum. But, it is just creepy to think that the boy bands who were "like, totally in" in the late '90s and early 2000s are still trying to be cool—and succeeding! Fifteen years ago, you couldn't blame any teenage girl for following the effeminate hunks who owned MTV... but right now, today, it is those SAME GIRLS that are buying the new NKOTBSB album! That's right, your 25-year-old sister, your 32-year-old fiancée, and, your 35-year-old wife... weird.
Ok, having ranted enough... the album boasts five of NKOTB's top songs and five of BSB's best—all voted on by fans. On top of this, there are two new joints—which act like a time machine transporting you back to the early-to-mid '90s—plus a mash-up that covers everything else. Bottom line: if you are a fan of NKOTB or BSB, then you will absolutely love this. If you are a sibling, spouse, significant other, or—shudder—child of one of these fans, then brace yourself for the imminent paranoia that will ensue.

First of all they are still relevant ...NKOTB came out with a new album 2008 and had 3 sucessful tours right after. They are also very well known on twitter with over 100,000 fans. You have no idea what you are talking about! They have fans younger than 20 some are even 8 years old. why is it okay for boyz 2 men to keep coming back but not pop boy bands? what the hell is the difference ..people like you need to stop hating and do some research before you start bashing
love a devoted NKOTB Fan
I meant this (and everything I write for that matter) to be very lighthearted... apologies if I offended you.
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you and your 8 year old can enjoy NKOTBSB together. And while "waited with bated breath" was an exaggeration since I just learned about this collaberation on E! the other day, if I'm being honest, I might check out their tour schedule...
We should hang out sometime.
