Genre Shorties Prompt Week 63

Your story may be serious or lighthearted or as silly as you like just so long as it is 100 words or less and written for the following prompt:

Lotta Moxie is very dedicated to her cause. She is so passionate about her cause that her recent activity led to a run-in with the law. What is Lotta's cause and what has she been doing to get in trouble?

Include one or more of the following in your story:

pigeons

library books

duct tape

canteloupe

Whole Lotta Love

Lotta Moxie knew she was in trouble, they were waiting for her to speak up but if she did that was it. “To heck with it!” she thought, “I’m doing it.” She got cardboard and duct tape, spent some time at the kitchen table with these objects then put the finished product on the side of her car. She drove to city hall and started honking her horn. When enough people were around she invited them to read her sign.

Pigeons are not birds from Earth

They are alien creatures bent on

Completely conquering us!

Pigeons can’t read English

Alien pigeons? Lotta may be on to something there. I thought they just ignored the Do Not Feed signs but perhaps the poor things don't know the language. Glad you're back on the internet.
