Whoa! Did you hear the Casey Anthony defense's opening statements today? Wow, the death of little Caylee Anthony is at the hands of dad/granddad George Anthony. And not only did George Anthony (in my opinion, the only semi-sane person in the Anthony family) accidentally kill Caylee in the swimming pool. He also abused Casey from the time she was eight years old, aong with Casey's brother Lee. (Lee has seemed to be one of Casey Anthony's lone defender at various times through the three years leading up to the trial.)
Wow...the media had linked that George Anthony might be accused with the death of his granddaughter, Caylee. I thought it might be accidental, maybe by giving too much medicine, or even in a moment of rage. Casey Anthony defense attorney Jose Baez says exactly how it happened is that mom Cindy Anthony left the ladder on the above-the-ground pool down. Father George Anthony finds Caylee drowned and then goes off on Casey Anthony, telling her she's going to go to jail forever for child neglect and that mom Cindy will be very upset.
Then, Jose Baez went on to describe a sexually dysfunctional family, which I really don't see the relevance. I do think that when women/men who have not been a true victim of sexual abuse use it as a defense, the judicial system is hurt and those true victims of sexual abuse are hurt. What immediately causes me to doubt Casey Anthony's story is the fact that, as the victim of sexual assault at the hands of two household members, why would she bring her beautiful daughter, Caylee, to live in the same house?

They are just trying to confuse what really happened. What a farce.

George Anthony really can't afford to be caught lying, as all the cases he was involved in might have to be reopened, which is why he couldn't lie to the Grand Jury for her,
I think when they see the jail visitation tapes, the jury will see a much different Casey than the "actress" is putting on for them in the courtroom.
I think the jury will come to the same conclusion, that "The truth and Casey Anthony" have never met like Amanda said in her comment.. and all this will backfire.
She will be seen as an evil woman who killed her daughter and was willing to say this awful things about her Father to save her own neck. There is no doubt in my mind that George had nothing to do with this... I really feel bad for him... because all of this was going on under his nose and he had no idea... I think his guilt at not "protecting" Caylee good enough led to his trying to attempt suicide... when there was probably nothing he could do. I think Casey was jealous of her parents love for Caylee or she wouldn't have been flipping out over no one cared what "she, herself" was going through in the jail... she appeared to be more concerned with her not getting the attention she wanted from her parents...then the fact her daughter was missing. They were trying so hard to find out from her what happened.
I really think the prosecution has way too much evidence for anyone to believe the defense. It made me sick when her lawyer said she had George's _______ in her mouth and then had to go to school. What a foul way to put it. And the claim is George and her brother sexually abused her... did they play rock paper scissors in the hallway before hand to decide who would go in first??? Come on... maybe one of them, but both??
She didn't throw her father under the bus... she nuked him. What a sorry sorry person she is....
I still think she should have tried for a deal.
I think if she drowned they could have duct taped her nose and mouth so the chlorine (found in the trunk)would stop leaking out while they buried her.
