The gift card I was waiting for turned out to be a amazon

I was told I would get a gift card for a insiders group project I did and Im sure they said it was going to be a 50 visa card , I just found out today its for a 50 amazon GC this is OK I love amazons but I was hoping for something I could use to buy gas or food with and I cant do that with a amazon at least not perishables like milk and bread . anyway Im still really happy and Im not looking a gift horse in the mouth but Scott is going to be dissapointed because I had told him it was a visa GC which we could use for anything . on the up side I now have a nice amazon total and I can close that project out now . Thanks for reading

well maybe what I need since my Birthday passed with out so much as a card I'm thinking I would get a kindle but I would need about 20 more amazons for that :) Thanks for commenting Debbie :)

Hi Ryan . I'm saving for a Kindle so I can get free reading material and when an author wants a review they can just send me a e book I need about 20 more amazons though

Yeah - sometimes that can be frustrating. But still, $50 at amazon is *still* $50!
Oh, and sometimes I've had problems redeeming those Visa GCs at gas pumps - most won't take them (at least around here they won't!) :-(

I actually think it has to do with how the pumps are programmed. The last time gas hit $4 a gallon, there was a news report about how the pumps do an approval for $50, assuming that most cars can't carry more than $50 worth of gasoline, and how they were going to have to start upping their "blanket approval" on their pumps to as much as $100 for luxury cars and SUVs that have 20+ gallon tanks.
So that means that a visa GC probably doesn't allow a "blanket approval" on it, which is probably why they won't work on the machines on pumps. Of course, if you don't have a pre-pay pump (I'm in Philly, so EVERYTHING is prepay), you can probably use the card when you go into the gas station to pay. Then the exact amount will be known and it'll probably work. I think. :-P

Sorry bout that. I love amazon though, and there is always something we need as well as things we want that we can find there.

You might could have sold it to someone for a little less than $50 if you needed the cash more than the card though.

I do that with gift cards I cant use like macys or itunes but a amazon is always welcome . its Just that Scott is a pill about it

well this was a code not a actual card and I already applied it to my amazon account so its going for a kindle for me since I got nothing for my birthday or mothers day :)

To be honest, I would order canned food. Somehow I am allergic to books. I have tried to read many, but finished very few :-( I am just not the "sit in a chair and read a book" gurl :-( I must admit, that i prefer to watch the movie. It only takes 90 minutes and then it is over. *lol*
