This is just a few answers to the questions that I've seen people ask of others, who are fat.  It is just my journey through life and coming to conclusions as to why I got fat over the years.  Don't be afraid to read it.  If you're one of those who point and laugh at the 'fatties' it might do you some good.

I believe that some people are just made that way, and as long as they are healthy, they are what they are supposed to be

This is also true, the women in my family vary is sizes from large to larger... I'm on the smaller end of the large.. It is a genetic make up in people. I just really hate it when I am noticed for my size rather than my smile or niceness.

I have been asked by children before, "Why are you so fat?" I just answer, "When you eat more calories than your body needs, you store the extra energy as fat." The most embarrassing thing is when the child's mother makes the child come to me and apologize for asking the question when they child was just curious and didn't know it wasn't polite to ask. It would be better for the mother to let it go and then talk to the child about it when they get home. I have lost weight many times but it seems to always creep back on, although I didn't gain back all that I lost.

Very true, when a child's curiosity is aroused it's best just to politely answer their questions... the question is... why should the child know the difference? Something was said in front of the child about the differences is sizes... Because most likely it came from the parents, she herself was embarrassed at being caught....

I totally understand.. I fight my weight dily.. I never was large but have put it on in the last few years and it just won't come off of me now.

It seems the older we get the harder it is to take off... Nature is definitely unkind to women!!

Other than your weight, I don't know what other health issues you have, but, I was told by another Gather member that cinnamon capsules are not only good for regulating blood sugar but for weight, as well. I take them for my blood sugar issues and I've lost 8 pounds, so far!!!

Well that is awesome!! Good for you! This article is more about the cruelty of others towards fat people than the want or will to lose weight...

Sorry I passed up your article, but, I read it. Yes, people are cruel and very superficial. As you said, they choose to look at what's on the outside instead of what's on the inside.

I totally understand... Yes, the cruelty of people... I happened on a YouTube video of a Subway incident... All the one girl could do is call the woman FAT... Sorry state of affairs when we have no other words to use..
