Jessica's 8th grade trip!

As most of ya remember my oldest son Anthony got to take an Amazing trip to DC and NYC a few years ago for his 8th grade trip. This year it was Jessica's turn! Unlike Anthony, Jessica filled up many memory cards full of pics from her once in a lifetime trip! Anthony took less than a dozen pics. She took hundreds of pics..lol

They spend 2 and a half days in the DC area! 

And the last few days of her trip were spent in NYC area! 

She had to spend last night in Nashville, Tenn and finally made it back home this afternoon!

She took so many pics it will take me days to go thru them all. I have posted some of her pics already to some albums! Its ashame that each album only holds 40 pics..lol

She will also be getting a hardback picture book with her pics in it as a memento from her trip!

I liked the items she brought back for me. She got me an I luv DC and and I luv NYC magnet, an I luv New york key chain(for my new car keys~~woohoo) and a M&M tshirt:)

Despite everything, I'm glad she had a great time. My 8th grade trip was to Washington DC and it's one that I will never forget.

p.s. albums hold more than 40 photos, you just can't put in more than 40 at a time :)

I will checking them out. I remember when my kids were in 8th grade and their class was going to DC.My girls wanted to go and could not afford it at the time.Now my son did not care about going to DC.

I had to pay less than $500 for her trip. She did community service to pay for most of her trip. My son did community service to pay for 100% of his trip. He ended up doing more than 100 hours of service. If I would have had to pay for the entire trip they would not have gone.

You were lucky. They didn't have any way to earn money to help pay for their trip.

If its a smithsionion trip they have sponsorships. I informed the school about it cuz the school didnt even know they offered them and its right there on thier homepage. I did lots of reseach and phone calls to get info about them months before i knew Anthony was even going.
They offer them to all schools, the school just has to ask for them.

My daughters are the same with capturing memories on several rolls of film back in our day while the sons would say, "it's stored up here mom" pointing to brains not loaded with kodak film but excellent memory cards. Ah the waves of the future, thanks for sharing
