Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger's son, Patrick, isn't taking the quiet route his mother's chosen. Instead, Patrick Schwarzenegger, 17, and his older sister, Katherine, 21, have tweeted about their emotions over this rough time in their lives.
Patrick took to his Twitter account to tweet, "some days you feel like s***, some days you want to quit and just be normal for a bit, yet i love my family till death do us apart. #family"
A few hours later, Katherine tweeted, "This is definitely not easy but I appreciate your love and support as i begin to heal and move forward in life.I will always love my family!"
It's clear that Patrick and Katherine are trying to show a united front during this extremely difficult time. There's little doubt that they are in as much shock as Maria Shriver is over Arnold's affair and love child. Their father's supposed mistress was one of their household staffers for well over a decade. She was someone they all trusted and loved. However, it's not her betrayal that stings or hurts the most, it's their father's.
In a silent but obvious gesture to show whose side he's on when it comes to his parents' divorce, Patrick changed his last name on his Twitter account from Schwarzenegger to Shriver. With any luck, Arnold also noticed the change. Hopefully, Schwarzenegger realizes that even though his few moments of passion haven't cost him the love of his children, it certainly has cost him their respect.
