For you that have not seen I am holding a contest for Gather person of the year.  We got two nominations here. 

 

  1. Voting will start May 16th at 8 am central time and end on May 31st midnight central.
  2. To vote just respond to this article with Connie or Kevin.
  3. Only one vote per person

You're wecome! Gosh, I'm not on here much these days.......it's incredible, for someone not working, I keep much busier than when I was.....LOL! I'm getting ready to work on FIVE scrapbooks, starting to plan hubby's "surprise" retirement party/picnic, and am really hoping to plan a big vacation, or cruise, for late fall/early winter......geesh.......plus, I'm hoping to be able to get a bunch of books read. Never enough hours in the day!

I am very humbled but I have to admit it feels good to have been nominated for such an honor.

That being said, Please do not hesitate to vote for Kevin on this post. I am not going to be offended by anyone who does. I promise! You never have to worry about me being upset at anyone or being hurt.

I have to admit something strange about myself. LOL I go to the store and put things I want in my cart. I push them around the store and neve buy any of them. I feel like I have owned them and I am satisified. I never have the desire for them again. LOL That is the way I feel right now. I am honored at being nominated and that is good enough for me.

I am sorry that I did not get to nominate anyone before the deadline. There were and are many wonderful members of the gather community who deserve this honor. I just had my mind on other things this month.

I just received an email from Reba. Thanks so much for thinking of me, she said you & her was worried about me.

The Neurosurgeon changed my pain meds because they were tearing up my stomach. I have been throwing up blood. They also added a sleeping pill. I have slept most of the time since Friday.

It has been a hard year and we were so hoping that 2011 would be better than 2010. It just seems to be a continuation of the same problems though.

My husbands job got sold out so we are really concerned now. If he loses his job, we will lose our home. Scary economy right now for everyone.

Today is the first day I have been online since late Thursday or Early Friday. I had my staples taken out on Friday.

So glad to see you Connie! We both were concerned as we didn't see you online. I tried looking around to see if I could find anyone who knew how you were doing. I know I have your e-mail addy, but didn't want to bug you. I felt that was for just in case we had issues with Gather. I guess Reba couldn't think of anything else for contact either, and we were concerned.
Pain meds can certainly tear ones insides up. Thats why I don't care for them. But I understand there are times when you have no choice but to take them. I'm glad you got some rest, and you are alright. I truly hope things will get better.

I had my staples removed on Friday and they changed my medication. I was throwing up blood from the pain meds they had me on. They have now added a sleeping pill as well and I am not used to sleeping pills. They make my anxiety worse and I toss and turn for over an hour before they kick in.

The pain meds actually kick in before the sleeping pills do. I slept most of the last three days. I have not been online until today.

I will get to it as soon as I can. It is too hot to cut any today anyway.

I take two sleeping pills. Otherwise, I couldn't sleep at all. Both of them take about an hour to kick in too :(

I need to take something for severe anxiety, what I am taking now isn't helping any. I am SO tired of the medication game! I bet you are too.

Do the new pain meds help? What are you taking?
