Donald Trump announced Monday that he will not, in fact, be running for President of the United States in 2012.
Though "the Donald" bowed out of the race for a Presidential bid next year, he didn't do so without the fanfare both fans and foes alike have come to expect from him.
After Donald Trump made the official statement that he would not be running for a shot at ousting President Obama from office, he followed up with this gem:
"This decision does not come easily or without regret; especially when my potential candidacy continues to be validated by ranking at the top of the Republican contenders in polls across the country. I maintain the strong conviction that if I were to run, I would be able to win the primary and ultimately, the general election."
Aww, how sad for our country's citizens that we won't get the chance to shut Donald Trump - and his giant ego - down once and for all.
So why is he choosing to forgo the race, since in his mind he would so obviously win? Turns out that his businesses still trump - pun intended - his desire to be President.
Surely there are more than a few voters out there who are breathing a sigh of relief at this announcement, despite the small minority who may feel remorse over it.
What do you think about Donald Trump taking his idea of running for President off the table?

There was never the slightest chance that Trump was willing to become the TARGET of idiotic accusations by becoming a real candidate. It was much more fun for him to be the accuser. Having to defend himself with logic and with financial disclosure, Donald don't play that.
