Ok guys, this will be extremely tough. I will teach you a complete sentence. And I must admit, it is not "formal German", it is a dialect.
But it sounds funny and we all want to have fun, right?
Our German sentence is:
"Wo willste des He hi ho, ha?"
You get extra points this time for perfect pronounciation!
I will try to explain how to pronounce it before telling you the meaning. I do try to compare it to English pronunciation:
Wo = like the "vo" in "vote"
willste = "will" like "will", "ste" like "ste" in "stem"
des = like "Des" in "Desmond"
He = try to speak "Hey" without the "y", that's "He"
hi = like "heeeeee"
ho = like "ho", simple
ha = like the "ha" in "half"
Now try it:
"Wo willste des He hi ho, ha?"
The a bit more formal German would be "Wo willst du das Heu hin haben, hä?" and is the simple sentence "Where would you like the hay to be desposited, huh?" but that does not sound that funny!
Any dialect or shorter forms to share?

"A wa killim? Ackee lim killim". Literally: "What killed him. The limb of an ackee [tree] killed him."
Here's another:
"Areddy yu reddy areddy? Eehi, den nuh come me come fi come call yu."
Translation: "Are you [really] ready already? Uhu, then have I not come to call you?"
Sometimes an English noun does not translate to a noun. The English noun 'curmudgeon' becomes the patois adjective 'crumoogin'. That can mess up the translation of a sentence.
"I am a jelly donut."
Often when I'd addressed by a reptilian brain-driven moron spouting nonsense, I'll reply: "I am a jelly donut." which makes as much sense as what the moron spouts.
Thanks for posting to Short Story and More!
Every German knows this sentence!
