Hines Ward's DWTS partner, pro-dancer Kym Johnson was rushed to the hospital today on a stretcher, with an oxygen mask covering her face. She was injured during a rehearsal for Dancing with the Stars.
According to a report from Popeater, Kym Johnson took a bad fall during rehearsal on Friday. She is reportedly now "doing okay."
Of course everyone's main concern is Kym Johnson's health, but in all honestly fans are likely wondering how this could impact Hines Ward, and his chance at winning that covered mirror ball trophy. Hines is one of just four contestants left on this season's Dancing with the Stars competition. Even though Hines Ward wasn't injured, contestants rely heavily upon their dance pro partners for guidance during both rehearsals and competition.
Hopefully word will come this weekend that Kym Johnson is recuperating at a quick pace. It would be a shame for her to be laid up, and a shame for Hines Ward to have to learn his dance steps with a new dance pro--one with whom he is unfamiliar. The Pittsburgh Steeler is good at fancy foot work, but while on the dance floor he truly needs and has come to expect the coaching of Kym Johnson.
Best of luck to Kym Johnson in her recovery, and to Hines Ward in next week's competition on Dancing with the Stars.
