Kristen Stewart snagged the award for Best Female Actress at the Milan Film Festival. The Breaking Dawn star picked up a Leonardo Horse for her role in Welcome to the Riley's, according to Hollywood Life.![]()
Not many people in the U.S. are familiar with Stewart's role in this particular film, but evidently, she portrayed a stripper to the likes of the Milan International Film committee. The actress hasn't been up for too many "serious" awards for her roles, probably because she hasn't been in any films that compete on high levels of excellence. Sure, she has won MTV Awards and was nominated for a couple of Razzies, but there hasn't been an Oscar or a Golden Globe in her past.
Many people are saying that her new role as Snow White could score her some mentions at award shows in 2012, but until then, she will have to enjoy her international accomplishments. Have you seen Stewart in Welcome to the Riley's? If so, what were your thoughts of her performance?
