Obama Heads on Down to Texas to Talk About Amnesty

Latinos aren't too happy with the President since he promised them the moon.  Well, he promised them all that they'd get to be legal residents even though they entered our country illegally and have lived here illegally.  He's counting on that happening before the next voting period so he can be guaranteed those votes.

 

That's why, of course, his administration has kept border patrols from arresting illegals since he became president.  One sheriff down there was interviewed last week and revealed that they've been instructed to not arrest illegals until they've been caught 14 times crossing illegally.  That keeps the number of arrests down and makes it look like Obama is keeping our borders secure...so he can lie about it.

The president will also argue that his administration has made great strides on border security. Administration officials boast of increasing the number of agents on the border, seizing more contraband and nearing completion of a border fence, and say they plan to extend the deployment of National Guard troops Obama sent to the border. To Republicans who say that immigration overhaul legislation shouldn't happen until the border is secure, the White House now says it's as secure as it's ever been and the conversation on legislation needs to happen.

 

Republicans aren't buying it.

 

"It seems President Obama has once again put on his campaigner-in-chief hat. The president's push to legalize millions of illegal immigrants is purely political," said Rep. Lamar Smith, R-Texas, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. "And even though administration officials like to pretend the border is secure, the reality is that it isn't."

Obama is going to try to appeal to everyone's pocketbook, claiming that Latinos start businesses and hire people.

 

That's all well and good.  But I was listening to a radio talk show about this very thing the other day.  Can you believe that illegals are able to get SBA loans?  (For those who are unenlightened, that's Small Business Administration loans.)

 

So...illegals are able to get government entitlements that people whose families have lived here for generation after generation cannot.  Now we're discovering that they're also getting small business loans?  There are only so many of those loans, so that means that, again, people whose families have lived here LEGALLY for generations are being turned away so that illegals can get loans?

 

And Obama thinks we're going to rejoice at giving making all those illegals legal just in time for them to vote for him?

 

I think not.

 

I keep remember the discussions I had a few years back with some folks who have been trying to come here legally for years and keep getting turned down by our government.  Why?  Because we already have too many non-citizens here who are here illegally.  How is that right or fair?
