Featured today - Dragon Fly Tote

I got the idea for this one based off of another lady's blog post on how to make designs with alternating stitches of knit and purl. She was putting the dragon fly on a dish or wash cloth. The pattern is super easy to follow and I actually made a few squares in rose and chocolate brown for a blanket (which I have yet to finish....another one of those things....). Then I came up with the idea for the tote using Lion Brand's Homestyle yarn. It is super bulky and you need super big needles but it stitches up quick. A lot of fun to make.

Very cool! Great way to take a pattern and make it truly useful! Part of me wishes I could create patterns like you, but I don't know where I would find the time! :-)
