Ralph Macchio is one of the five final contestants on this season of Dancing with the Stars, and there is a good chance that this week could be his final week in the competition. The actor has suffered an injury that kept him out of rehearsals for four days, and the pair is supposed to perform two dances this week.
According to Access Hollywood, the actor has a cyst on the back of his knee that is causing him pain. However, he went to his Twitter account on Monday to hint that he will perform even with the pain and the injury. His partner Karina Smirnoff also went to her own Twitter to ask for the fans support. She also hinted that Ralph Macchio also has other injuries.
At the age of fifty, the actor is not young, and the body can only take so much. He is willing to push on and continue though. This can lead to further injury, so it might not be the best idea. It was just last week that the actor managed to get back into the judges good graces and once again rise to the top in the competition. An injury like this could not be good for him. At this point in the competition, every performance counts. One bad outing can mean elimination.
Will his injuries knock Ralph out of the competition? Fans will have to tune in to watch Dancing with the Stars this week to find out what happens as the competition gets closer to its end for another season.
