[Posted for Genre Shorties. Prompt: the King of Luckland has a problem; what special powers, skills, knowledge or insight do you have to help him? Use at least 3 words that begin with the letter P.]

The King of Luckland, Percival Pomerantz Purifoy, practiced perfectly. Prancing along the promenade, he had only one problem: pigeon-toes. “Penelope,” Percival pleaded, “the pigeon-toes prevent my prancing! Please produce the pigeon-toe prevention potion!”

The pinkishly purple paella potion was precisely what Percival needed for the pigeon-toe problem. Pursing her lips, Penelope putzed around her pantry, procuring the pertinent products.

The potion prepared, Penelope promptly poured it on the pigeons’ toes.

“Pah!” spluttered the pigeon’s president, Pablo. “Paella potion!”

“Phew!” whined Pablo’s peon.

But they parted post-haste from Percival’s promenade.

“Perfect,” said Percival, and paid Penelope plentifully in pesos and property.

O Blank Spot Formerly Known As Aniko, I do apologize and you're correct; wasting any letter is detrimental to the well-being of all the other letters.

But I have a theory that extra Ps were manufactured thousands of years ago. I have no proof. But I do have the theory.

I'd recommend seeking out the expert opinion of Jasper Fforde--he's written extensively on such bookworld matters... But then who's to say he might not have an agenda, given the scant concern he shows for f- and e-conservation?
