Of the Palin clan, it's normally Sarah who finds herself in the limelight. But this week it's her daughter, Bristol Palin, who's garnering all the attention.
Bristol Palin unveiled a new look at a benefit for Candies this past weekend, and immediately, there was speculation that her appearance was the result of plastic surgery.
Now there is little doubt that the young mother has indeed gone under the knife, but the question now is whether she was being a hypocrite in doing so?
Remember that a few months ago Bristol got into a war of words with comedian Kathy Griffin, who had poked fun of Bristol's notorious weight gain on the reality show Dancing with the Stars.
Griffin joked "She gained like 30 pounds a week. I swear to God, it was fantastic--she's like the white 'Precious.'" Bristol shot back that Kathy shouldn't be criticizing her looks when Kathy herself had recently shown the signs of a "botched Botox job."
Ironically it is now Bristol who has had Botox--and a slew of other procedures as well. It seems that Bristol Palin hasn't been able to stand up to the criticism of her weight and elected to do something about the problem via surgery. This is her choice and she looks lovely, but it's awfully hypocritical of her to go after Griffin's Botox problems when she must have been considering the procedure herself.

My problem with Bristol Palin is that she is making very poor choices. She had sex with her boyfriend, did not use birth control, had the baby, alienated the father, went on a reality show, got her face done, is now moving to Los Angeles, and again will be on a reality show. AND? What about her child? While she's on television and making herself look pretty, what about the baby? Guess what, honey, your family values did not stop when you chose to keep your baby rather than abort. That was just the beginning. Get out of the way of the cameras and be a good parent. Your own mother was too busy making a name for herself to take proper care of you. Don't you do the same. Get a normal 9-to-5 job like any other single mom, myself included, AND BE A PARENT. Not a celebrity. That is not what this child needs.
