A voter hotline in Indiana turned out to be a phone sex line instead. Obviously, there were some very shocked voters and the issue was resolved quickly. The Hoosier
Voter Hotline number prompted callers to engage in "fun, stimulating conversation" by dialing another number. One can only wonder how many takers that phone sex line got.
Officials are blaming the mishap on a typo in their news release. The typo came courtesy of Indiana's own Secretary of State, A.J. Feeney-Ruiz. In fact, he was even a big enough man to own up to his mistake.
Feeney-Ruiz stated, "This is my mistake. I actually wrote down the wrong number. Human error."
Hmmm, could it have been human error or was the phone sex line number something Feeney-Ruiz had seen before? One can only speculate. In the end, most people got a good laugh. No foul, no harm, right? This isn't the first time a voter hotline lead its callers to a phone sex line instead. It actually occurred in 2008 to Oregon officials!
