Vanessa Hudgens on Maxim Hot 100 — Did Nude Leaked Photos Help?

Vanessa Hudgens leaked photos in the nude may be pushing the sexy star to new heights. Vanessa has been ranked among the hottest girls in the world, according to the Maxim Hot 100.

On the recently revealed Maxim list, Vanessa ranks at #54, not a bad spot for an actress who has yet to really become a breakout movie star. Maxim notes that the Salinas, California native, age 22, is a "brunette stunner" with an accomplished solo music act and a rising film career. They point out 2011's Beastly as well as her 2009 movie, Bandslam, where she plays the role of an emo rocker.

Ahead of Vanessa are names like Ashley Greene, Minka Kelly, and Selita Ebanks. Among the stars Vanessa ranks ahead of the 2011 list are WWE Diva Kelly Kelly, singer Miley Cyrus, UFC star Arianny Celeste, and rapper Nicki Minaj. Some great company! Interestingly, Vanessa wasn't even on the 2010 Maxim Hot 100 list.

Also of interest is another brunette who has scorched up the list, Mila Kunis. She was ranked 22nd on the 2010 list and has skyrocketed to fifth place, likely due to her film work in Black Swan. It's possible if Vanessa gets the right role in an acclaimed movie, she'll find herself much higher up the list in 2012 or later. There may be another option too.

Is it possible that those Vanessa Hudgens leaked photos in the nude are the cause of her appearance on the list this year? While there's no doubt Hudgens is hot, it certainly doesn't hurt that her name has been in the spotlight often based on that. Maxim doesn't mention the scandal in its bio of Vanessa, likely because they didn't want to mar the selection process. However, one has to seriously wonder if more nude photos, done tastefully for a magazine like Playboy, would put Vanessa into the top of the rankings.
