Sorry, Megan Fox! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (a.k.a. Megan's replacement) has transformed from a model into a movie star, and now she's Maxim magazine's hottest woman in the world.
The men's mag recently released its Hot 100 list of the sexiest women in the world, with the former Victoria's Secret model topping them all. This summer, the breathtaking beauty with a perfect pout will be starring in Transformers: Dark of the Moon as Megan Fox' replacement.
So how did Fox do? Well, she's not quite the movie star that she used to be, with her career going the opposite direction of Rosie's (she gets more attention for modeling in lingerie these days than starring in movies), but she did manage to finish in a respectable 17th place. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley did have quite a bit of competition in the top ten, however, with Olivia Munn, Katy Perry, Cameron Diaz, Mila Kunis, Bar Refaeli, Anne Hathaway, Natalie Portman, Cobie Smulders, and Jennifer Lawrence rounding out the cream of the crop. The other Olivia (Wilde) finished in the 15th slot, while expectant mom January Jones was 12th. Sean Penn's new arm candy, Scarlett Johansson, snagged the 14th slot.
But while actresses and models make up most of Maxim's Hot 100, this year the list got a special addition in the form of princess bride Kate Middleton, who finished 26th. Sadly, her sister Pippa didn't land on the list (the sensation she caused with her form-fitting white dress definitely should have earned her a spot!).
So was naming Rosie Huntington-Whiteley the hottest woman in the world a low blow to Megan Fox by Maxim? Well, it's likely that the men's mag didn't really mean the actress any harm, but those in charge of putting the list together knew that placing the star of one of the hottest upcoming movies of the summer at the top of the Hot 100 would get media attention (and sell more magazines).
