If you tuned in to watch the DWTS results show on Tuesday, you can say you watched a first-ever event. Never before has an American Idol contestant, eliminated or otherwise, appeared on the series. Pia Toscano was the first contestant to cross over and perform a song while two of the professional dancers on the series danced to her song. This performance is earning a lot of attention this week because of the recent rumors that Pia Toscano is now dating Mark Ballas.
The rumors are still building surrounding the couple, and watching a few moments of them interacting before the performance and during rehearsals, it is obvious the two have chemistry. Pia performed I'll Stand By You by The Pretenders, which she also performed on American Idol during her time there. Mark Ballas performed a routine on stage with Karina Smirnoff as his partner. Rickey.org has video of the performance if you missed it.
Tom Bergeron couldn't help but ask Pia about the romance rumors, but Pia didn't play into his question about Mark Ballas's kissing technique. This performance showed that Pia still has a bright future ahead of her as far as her career goes. When it comes to her relationship, or non-relationship with Mark Ballas, that will have to play out in the weeks and months to come. Too soon to tell if these two are actually dating or not. What did you think of Pia's performance on Dancing with the Stars this week?
