I found this cute little project in Family Fun Magazine to do with my son. For some reason he was not in a getting his picture taken mood today(which is very odd for him) so I had to just take pictures of the project.
The only thing you need is a brown paper bag, twigs, and glue.
I used a bigger bag because I did not have any lunch size brown bags. Those are probably the better size for this project but you can use any size you want. I crushed the bag down to form a circular "nest" and broke our twigs into smaller pieces

Then we started to arrange the twigs on the brown bag and glue them on with a hot glue gun. The instructions said to use tacky glue but I found the glue gun was easier and dried much faster.

This is what the final product looked like.

Of course a nest needs eggs.

If you need a last minute fun little project to do with your kids or grand kids this is it. It did not cost me one cent because I had the brown bag and glue. The twigs we just went and got from outside. Plus it was really easy and not time consuming at all. I do suggest if you use a bigger bag to cut out a piece of cardboard to attach to the bottom to give the nest some support to hold the weight of the egss.
