I face three forks of the Missouri
My fate follows one tine of its trident
The monsters on my left: rage and fury
I face three forks of the Missouri
The middle spoke rushes in a hurry
And to the right a hoola hoop of discontent
I face three forks of the Missouri
My fate follows one tine of its trident

...and sometimes the river chooses us.
Nice job, Susan...
Thank you posting to the Triple Name Club.
Just like John Beck's verse, your verse makes me think of Pete Seeger singing it. It has his rhythm.
