Update On IRS
We were in the office at 9AM.Gave our name and told them we had an appointment. We took a seat and waited. She came out, called my name and we went in. Sorry I am still shaken, I can't type. My daughter went with me. I did not drive. She asked if I allowed or gave my social security card to anyone. I said, No. I asked why did you say "85 million dollars.' That is the money in question.
She asked several more questions where I lived before moving to Indiana. So I told her my history. Have I bought any lottery tickets this past year, and what state? I told her. Have I ever lived in New Mexico. I was there in 1968, never lived there.
Someone used your identity and won. We have a picture. It looked like a woman in her fifties. Not anything like me. No I never saw her. She has dark hair, mine has been white for at least the past 20 years. She needed me to sign some papers. That was it. They are going to try and find her. She thanked me for coming in so quickly.
My stomach is still doing flip flops.

I surely hope that the IRS finds, and prosecutes, the person who did that to you.......I would be absolutely sick. So glad that you had someone go with you.
Then send her to jail!
Terrible she has your ID but with all that money 'you' won you could probably buy a new for yourself.
+sigh+ I know it's not funny but it sounds kind of unfair that you don't get the money ... maybe ya ought to look into it and see what the law is and if you have any options in regard to it.
And hope they don't try to make you pay the taxes on that if they don't find her and/or don't allow you to at least have the money she won in your name.
I would suggest you call the three credit places and have a hold put on your account. That way she can't open a credit card in your name.
