DWTS contestant Chelsea Kane is dating Lauren Conrad's ex, Stephen Colletti. The Disney star confirmed that she and the former One Tree Hill and Laguna Beach star are in fact a couple.
According to a report from Popeater, Kane says the two were set up on a blind date by her manager. And even though the relationship may be fairly new, she has long been a fan of the actor.
It seems that Stephen Colletti had quite a thing for MTV stars in his past. In addition to being Lauren Conrad's ex-boyfriend, Kristen Cavallari claims him as an ex, too, as does Hayden Panettiere of Scream 4. Will Colletti find true love switching from an MTV star to a Disney star instead?
Chelsea Kane even got a nod of approval for dating Colletti from her DWTS dance partner Mark Ballas.
"He's a great guy," Ballas says. "I've met him, he comes to the show and he's very supportive of Chelsea, which is cool," he said.
Kane stays focused on her Dancing With the Stars rehearsals, but definitely revels in her attention from Stephen Colletti when the show allows for down time. And while this may not be the love of a lifetime for Chelsea, it certainly sounds like she's having lots of fun.
"He is pretty cute, he's a really good guy, we've been having fun together," Chelsea Kane says.
How actors, actresses, dance contestants and the like find time to have fun is certainly a curious concept. Between rehearsals, promotions, and hair and makeup calls--they practically have no time of their own. Kudos to them for managing to pencil in some fun. Even bigger kudos to those who maintain relationships at the same time.
Best wishes are certainly in order for Chelsea Kane--both as she continues competing on DWTS, and in her relationship with handsome hunk Stephen Colletti. Sounds like she'll come out a winner either way.
