I have published a book. At some subconscious level I probably supposed it was as important to other people as it is to me. Nobody knows it’s there, why should they? and I have the job of telling people. It was never in my mind to be a self-publicist, this is not why I wrote, and it grates on me, as it must grate on others, when I proclaim, “See what I have done.â€
A familiar story? It’s very worrying that it is a familiar story.
And yet what if you really do have something to say?
The only answer may be to involve others, and surely blogging on sites such as this one is exactly that. The likelihood is that your inspirations and passions are not so very different from mine. To proclaim that my book’s uniqueness is bigger, better, more entertaining or profound than anyone else's is clearly absurd. In looking at what is out there I have been amazed at the coherence of the cultural psyche. So, if I look at your work it benefits me, as I hope mine may benefit you.
As my book came through channelling, and is partly about channelling, I was delighted, today, to add a link to the book’s website, to the site of a dear and wise man. “Universal Consciousness†is not my subject, yet “Edward†is as much part of that as your work may be; it explains and demonstrates channelling, and each compliments the other.
It put me in mind that “Universal Consciousness†is not the only link I should add. It’s all very well… “You’ve read me on Facebook, now read me on Twitter…†but how much better, “You’ve read me, now read someone else I shall plan with care, yet my new links, offered on the Internet, will now lead to other people’s sites – I’ve dedicated a page to it.
Please therefore accept the thought, one we all really know already, link together – we prosper by co-operation, not by competition.
