Jennifer Lopez may have been named People Magazine's "World's Most Beautiful Woman" for 2011, but that doesn't mean that she's high maintenance. While sure, every woman enjoys the occasion to glam it up, dressing in their finest formal wear and parading around in heels, curls and fake eyelashes, J. Lo - like most women - is happiest going au natural!
In the exclusive interview that accompanied her cover photo shoot, Lopez told the magazine that she's more of a no make-up type of gal at home with her family.
"That's when I'm my happiest," she said. "Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It's so much better."
Most beautiful and down-to-Earth? Wow! Marc Anthony is one lucky man!
Though her preference is for a more natural look, she does admit that keeping up with herself is a part of her job and is expected of her.
"I don't want anybody thinking it's easy. It does take time and it's hard work. HDTV wide-screen is nobody's friend!"
While most women recognize that celebrities have to work for their physique and have a stylist backstage creating their enviable looks, it sure is nice to hear it straight from Jennifer Lopez!
Even better than her natural style and beauty, however, is her attitude. In a culture where women seem obsessed with defying gravity and age, Lopez seems to have really come into her own in her forties, stating, "In my 20s, I just wasn't there in my mind and my soul and my spirit. It's just great to be in the position I'm in now and be able to share that with the world."
She sure has managed to get the attitude right, and is obviously a breathtaking woman. Perhaps your forties are the new twenties?
