Natalie Portman: 'Your Highness' Box Office Flop - Oscar Curse?

Natalie Portman won the Oscar for Black Swan, and she is now starring in a new film called Your Highness, which opened this weekend. She said that the character she plays is different from anything she's ever done on film before. Unfortunately for the star, her latest film appears to have debuted in sixth place this weekend.

 

In Your Highness, the Oscar winning actress plays a fierce warrior, which is certainly miles away from the troubled ballerina she portrayed in Black Swan. In the film, she stars with James Franco and Danny McBride who are the princes she helps.

Natalie Portman said, "It was such a great experience to get to work with these guys." You know, Danny [McBride] is just sort of a giant of comedy already and James [Franco] is obviously so multi-talented."

She seems to be showing off the multiple sides of her own talent with all the different roles she's played this year--Black Swan, No Strings Attached, and now Your Highness. She will have yet another interesting role in Thor, which hits theaters on May 6.
