Glee recently released the fifth volume in their CDs featuring music from the show, which also included the new original songs featured at Regionals in "Original Song." The Dalton Academy Warblers, led by Darren Criss' Blaine, have had a number of hit songs, beginning with Criss' rendition of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," which captured Chris Colfer's Kurt's heart (and the hearts of fans).
The Warblers solo CD
The release date of Glee: The Music presents The Warblers has been revealed—April 19—so mark those calendars. The full track listing can be found here, and it includes that first song from the Warblers, along with the others that Gleeks have heard over the season, including the four from "Original Song" and three as-of-yet unheard songs. The first of those three is a cover of "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane and the other two are album exclusives: "What Kind of Fool" and Rod Stewart's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy." Keane's song has already been covered by several artists, including Lifehouse and Natasha Bedingfield.
How do you think the Warblers' version will compare? If these three are on the same level as the other songs from the Warblers, they should quickly become fan favorites. Are you looking forward to more music from the Warblers even knowing that Kurt's return to McKinley High is imminent?
Will you be picking up this new Glee soundtrack?
