I have really been dragging my feet . . .

Hubby wanted to go to this two day business meeting in Las Vegas. My opinion is that if I am going to travel that far, it had best be that I will see family or have some fun. It had best not be to sit in business meetings.

Besides that, we are both out of work.

We had already put some money down for a motel, and paid for our registrations, but after the car problems yesterday, in my opinion we were going to be throwing good money after bad, and I could not see how we could really afford it.

This morning we had a long talk, about affording this trip, and where we would like to go, and what we can be doing toward self employment, and making ends meet, and just having fun. We agreed to get a refund from the hotel, and also we will be able to get product for the amount of our deposit.  Hubby says I am his cheerleader, and we have set up some plans that will make this all worth while. I like talking things over instead of pouting and feeling bad. This way we are both getting some things we want.

Sometimes, we have to cut our losses... and let go. It can be hard to do... but sometimes, we gain more by doing that.... then like in your case...going.

Actually, because we could cancel the hotel room and Bob will be getting product to reimburse for the registration, or some business tools, I am very satisfied.

I was trying to talk him into going to the slots, but both of us tend not to do any of the gambling activities. I just thought it would be a shame to go and not try to get lucky.

I'm thinking that it's best not to go to business meetings if you don't have a job for the business to relate to. LOL. Gamblings in Vegas would probably be more profitable than the business meeting (in my opinion). If it was an infomercial type of business meeting then he can probably just go on line and read the same presentation.

The home office for Dri WashNGuard is in Vegas, and it is a product we have used for four years, and hubby sells it. So it was to be like an annual meeting. I just do not have a lot of confidence in sales.

Sounds like you and your husband have a very good relationship and communicate really well. It seems that you came to a good resolution! I agree with you 100% - much better to talk things out and compromise than to sit and stew.

Dri Washnguard. It is a waterless car wash, and there is also engine care products. We use them in and on all of our cars. The company has been around for twenty years. This is what we take to car shows to demonstrate and sell.

I think it is great, the two of you can sit and talk about the pro's and con's. The only time I ever gambled, I took a roll of quarters and won $450. But that was when you actually had quarters drop down into the slot to pick up and put in a bucket. I hear they don't do that now.

Maybe you could have open house and sell your product from home or a friends home. Giving a demonstration. Getting others to sell under you for product. Where there is a will there is a way.

There are some reasons that having a showcase at our house is out of the question. We are looking for people to showcase the product. We really enjoy going to car shows and setting up. We also made contacts when we did the Monster Garage Sale with Marsha.
